12/7/19: HOLIDAY ARTS & CRAFTS FAIR @ EMERALD ISLE COMMUNITY CENTER
On the first Saturday in December from 9a.m. to 3p.m., Emerald Isle Parks and Recreation hosts the 8th Annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair in the gymnasium. The fair features all handmade or hand-authenticated items from local artisans and crafters. With over 30 vendors, you are sure to find just the right gift for everyone on your Christmas list. 12/7/19: ISLAND SANTA BAR CRAWL @ THE EMERALD CLUB
The Island Santa Bar Crawl benefits Make a Wish Eastern NC. Online registration will be up and running soon. Early registration will be $15 and event T-shirts will also be available. This year’s event features a new “crawl game”, costume contests, raffle items and lots of fun. Save the date!
12/13/19: SANTA & A MOVIE @ EMERALD ISLE COMMUNITY CENTER
Registration is open and required for this popular event. At 6p.m. children of all ages can join in for a Christmas story after enjoying milk and cookies and watching a short Christmas movie classic. Kids are encouraged to wear their most comfy Christmas pajamas. Please bring a blanket for your family to sit on during the movie. Admission fee is one unwrapped gift per child.
12/20/19: AMERICAN RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE @ EI COMMUNITY CENTER
The Carteret County Chapter of the American Red Cross is holding a blood drive at Emerald Isle Parks and Recreation Community Center from 2-7p.m. at 203 Leisure Lane. 'Tis the season to give, so please do!

The Crystal Coast Christmas Flotilla features boats, yachts, kayaks and commercial vessels decorated for the season. The decorated boats can be seen at 5:30p.m. on the Morehead City waterfront and at 6:15p.m. on the Beaufort waterfront. Don't miss this Crystal Coast holiday tradition!

12/8/19: CHRISTMAS TRAIN SHOW @ BEAUFORT LIONS CLUB
The 25th Annual John Costlow Christmas Train Show from 11a.m. to 4p.m. offers a glimpse into the past with antique working model trains and model trains of all sizes. The model train layouts include a variety of items of interest to railroad enthusiasts of all ages ranging from simple circles, traditionally found around the Christmas tree, to more elaborate systems.
12/14/19: CHRISTMAS PARADE @ MOREHEAD CITY
Come join the fun! Parade starts at 11a.m. along Arendell Street in downtown Morehead City. Parade begins at 1700 Arendell Street and ends at 8th and Arendell streets. Floats, community groups, bands, entertainment and, of course, Santa and his sleigh will be featured. Head over the bridge and into Morehead City to view this local favorite holiday parade.
12/14/19: HISTORIC CANDLELIGHT HOMES TOUR @ DOWNTOWN BEAUFORT
The annual Christmas Candlelight Tour showcases Beaufort’s southern hospitality and provides a rare glimpse into several private historic homes, inns, bed and breakfasts, and churches that are decorated for the holiday season. Tickets can be purchased at www.beauforthistoricsite.org or at the Old Beaufort Gift Shop on 130 Turner St.
12/21/19: OLDE FASHIONED HOLIDAY MARKET @ BEAUFORT COURT HOUSE LAWN

12/31/19: NEW YEAR'S EVE CANNON BLAST @ FORT MACON
Celebrate the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020 with a blast. Fort Macon is once again firing off its big guns in celebration of the new year. There is live entertainment starting at 6p.m., and the cannons go off at 7p.m. sharp. Feel free to bring a folding chair and picnic meal similar to the summer concerts. Come early, parking is limited.
12/31/19: CRYSTAL COAST DOWNTOWN COUNTDOWN TO 2020 @ MOREHEAD CITY
The Downtown Countdown brings family fun to the MHC waterfront on New Year’s Eve. Join in the fun beginning at 5p.m. for activities for all ages. Enjoy watching the fire department drop the kid’s crab pot drop and children’s activities from 5-6p.m. at Big Rock Landing. Local businesses and restaurants are providing activities and bands throughout the evening. End the night at midnight with the big crab pot drop downtown and a fireworks show shot from Sugarloaf Island for all to enjoy.
