Dawn broke over Emerald Isle, literally and figuratively, when I decided to create my personal real estate website. I think of this site as my online business card and an opportunity to convey my impressions of what is happening in the Emerald Isle real estate community, specifically, and the Crystal Coast real estate, in general.
A lot of people believe where you come from, the home you live in, or how you grew up controls your potential. But let me be the first to tell you that this is not the case at all. These are simply ideas that we create in our minds. Your mind can be a scary place. That is why you have to learn to control it and work on filling it with positive stuff. It is a daily process. Zig Ziglar said, "People often say motivation does not last. Well, neither does bathing. That is why we recommend it daily!"
Ditto with buying a home. You want to purchase a home with a water view? With four bedrooms? In an excellent school district? Start filling your mind with images of that house: Where it is located. What color it is. Where the kitchen is located. What it will cost to purchase. Where the money will come from. And so on. Continue to imagine that home, daily. Add details, daily.
When I chat about this to my customers and clients, many relate well to this advice. Not everyone grew up rich, successful and living in the house of their dreams. But, many of my clients are now living in their dream homes, homes that I had the special opportunity to help them purchase.
