Its another day in paradise here in Emerald Isle, NC. Its quiet on the beaches and quiet in Town. And, quiet is not usually the word I would use to describe where I live, except that we are living with COVID-19 and social distancing and travel restricting policies.
Neither of these policies keeps me from trying to generate leads for my real estate business. But, unlike most agents, I'm not really into cold calling. I don't like to make the calls any more than you dislike getting my call.

So, I made a decision a while back to offer everyone I call something of value and it is not that I am the greatest agent yada yada yada.
Giving something of value makes contacting For Sale By Owner folks a lot easier. For example, I have some really cool software that enables me to make videos using the Ken Burns technique. You know, where the camera zooms and pans still images. Offering For Sale by Owners a free video of their house gives them a marketing piece that makes their house stand out from the crowd. And, isn't that what marketing is all about....grabbing a buyer's attention?
Not many For Sale by Owners refuse the free video. And, that gives me an opportunity to begin creating a relationship. I learn why the owner is selling. I learn something personal about the house. I gain some contact information. I offer something else of value and that generates another reason to call. I rinse and repeat. IF I have a reason to call and my caller knows tat I have valuable information, guess what? Exactly, my call does NOT go to voice mail. Eventually, maybe, the For Sale by Owner gets tired of showing their house and marketing, and following up on leads and decides to list their house with an agent. And, maybe, just maybe that agent will be me!
Which brings me to my main point. Whenever we connect, whether it is by telephone, text, email or in person, I will always give you something of value, something that moves our relationship forward. My goal is to make a difference in your life and by doing so give added meaning to mine. A WIN-WIN. As Tim Ferriss puts it, do something where you are irreplaceable. And, if I do my best to help you buy or sell a house, I will be irreplaceable.
